Onder de leden van NWEA zijn onder meer exploitanten, fabrikanten, ontwikkelaars van windparken, adviesbureaus, energiebedrijven, windenergieverenigingen en -corporaties, kenniscentra, onderhoudsbedrijven, toeleveranciers en leden op persoonlijke titel. NWEA vertegenwoordigt de hele windenergiesector, van grote bedrijven tot kleine. Het aantal stemmen op de Algemene Ledenvergadering is gekoppeld aan de financiële bijdrage van een lid.
Buiten de hieronder vermeldde leden zijn ook de leden van de verenigingen van windturbine-eigenaren in Friesland, Groningen en de IJsselmeerpolders allen rechtstreeks lid van NWEA. Samen tellen deze drie verenigingen ruim 280 leden.
Een aantal leden stelt geen prijs op vermelding op deze website of van vermelding van hun eigen website.
